PROFILE

A Company made of People

Forgia del Frignano was founded in 1971 at the current Pavullo site to develop business in the forging of steel close to the factories producing the raw materials, to the most important ports in northern Italy and to a well-defined network of end users.

Since the early 1980s, open die forging with impact machinery (power hammers) has been gradually replaced by closed die forging.

The process of replacing power hammers with mechanical presses, was completed in the 1990s.

Over the following years, the installation of a rolling mill and the complete automation of production lines allowed the company to expand its range and achieve current production standards.

Forgia del Frignano has always been committed to continuous technological innovation and the progressive optimisation of each efficiency parameter.

The awarding of UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in 1999 was the direct consequence of this policy of continuous improvement.

The company aims to balance productive output with environmental compatibility, which clearly and directly also benefits the health of workers.

This includes expansion of the company’s land holdings, which now extend over a total of 180,000m².
